# Zata

> Zata is RRA-certified EBM (electronic billing machine) software for Rwanda. Tax is filed with the sale — receipts, stock, MoMo, cards and bank on one till.

Zata Global builds the product in Kigali. It is a certified Virtual Sales Data Controller. Every receipt is signed, fiscalized and synced with a QR code. Software is free; credit and debit run on Zata rails (collection 2.3%, debit 0%, cards 3%). Enterprise is from 1,000,000 RWF per year, excluding tax.

Reported figures (January 2025 — August 2026, source https://kpi.zata.rw): RWF 13.73 billion in sales through the till; RWF 1.09 billion tax collected; 99.90% EBM compliance; 27,650 invoices in August 2026.
